Teaching Philosophy
Inspiration and motivation for Music
I believe that music is a precious gift from God, and that learning music is an opportunity to develop the talents He has entrusted to us for His Glory. I customize my teaching approach to each student according to their unique goals and interests. My primary goal is to promote creativity and emphasize emotional and intellectual development though appropriate guidance. I hope to inspire students to appreciate the beauty of music, cultivate a spirit of gratitude and perseverance, and use their musical gifts to bless others and glorify God throughout their lives.
Self-Discipline
I believe that learning the piano is a journey that develops not only musical ability but also self-discipline, reposnsibility, and perseverance. Through consistent practice, patience, and thoughtful guidance, students learn the value of hard work and personal commitment. These qualities extend far beyond music, helping them build confidence, character, and lifelong habits that will benefit them in every area of life.
Productive practice
Productive practice is intentional, focused, and engaging. Rather than simply repeating passages, students learn to practice with clear goals, thoughtful listening, and effective problem-solving strategies. My role is to help each student develop the skills and confidence to practice independently, creating habits that lead to consistent progress, musical growth, and a lifelong enjoyment of learning.
Self-Esteem
I believe every student thrives when they feel capable, valued, and encouraged. By celebrating effort, recognizing individual progress, and creating a supportive learning environment, I help students build confidence in both their musical abilities and themselves. As self-esteem grows, students become more willing to take on challenges, express themselves creatively, and enjoy the lifelong journey of making music.
